Working at Southern Implants for three years as an engineer on the design team, Kim White saw firsthand how important creative thinking was to the development of innovative, life-changing products like the MAX, Co-Axis and INVERTA implants.
Kim realised it would be great to encourage youngsters in his home country, Zimbabwe to develop their own creative thinking and skills as this could be a key to fulfilling their livesโ potentials.
When Kim left Southern Implants in 2016 to study a Masterโs in Product Design in Scotland, he also partnered with his mother, Anne White to start up Zimbowties.
They chose to use part of the money they make from the sales of their eye-catching bow ties and other fashion accessories to fund Creativity Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to talented youngsters in Zimbabwe who we hope to help inspire to become the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs and change-makers.
